you know, all you have to do is use common sense and have a bit of
decency and when somebody named john smith points out that he is being
harassed in some newsgroup you block mail to that newsgroup that
mentions john smith.
sure, there might be another john smith using the newsgroup, but the
chances are there is not and even if there is isn't it worth protecting
the victim john smith at the expense of the other john smith seeing his
name in the newsgroup if it happened to be mentioned in a message that
went through your remailer, which is pretty unlikely since this john
smith is not a victim so posts in the newsgroup mentioning his name
would probably come directly from the sender. and what are the chances
that both john smiths would be mentioned in posts coming through your
remailer at about the same time? pretty remote i would say.
it seems pretty simple to me and if you cannot see it maybe it is
because you do not want to see it.
it is clear to me as an observer that remailer operators are by and
large children and mentally ill 'adults'.
i wish Frog would return.
failing that I hope eelbash will continue rather than take another vacation.
aside from those two i have nothing but contempt for remailer operators
and think that pangborn is right and they are a lot of sickos playing
with toys, but with toys that can hurt people, and maybe it is best if
there is one too many free insane speech incidents and finally after one
more terrorist attack some demagogic privacy-hating politician manages
to get a law passed to shut down these pathetic and disgusting
children's toys because that is all they are.
of course all you mentally ill children will blame Frog rather than
yourselves.
We still know this is you Eelbash. Try harder next time.
Learn about word wrapping too Eelbash. You are a mentally ill whining baby.

And one last thing:
I went to
http://www.dnsstuff.com/ and did a search for:
brianbinder.com
No results. Can't be found. This is kind of spooky. A fake .com address?
Again, forgive me for being so paranoid. But like I said, this is the
re-mailer PC. Why would it, and it alone get targeted?
How did anyone know or find out I fixed the internal IP for the remailer at
10.1.10.200 ?
I intentionall fixed it to that internal IP so that port 25 forwarding will
always be to the re-mailer. I did this to prevent the router DHCP from
automatically giving the re-mailer an IP which would not match the IP that
is Port Forwarded.
I suppose someone could scan for an open port like 25 and then try to find
another way in.
Again, since this is the re-mailer, I really get nervous about it. People
may be trusting on its security for their own well being. That trust must
never be broken or compromised.
I have it locked down as tight as I know how to make it. As I mentioned
before, I can't even access the router from this PC. I have a KVM switch to
go to the main computer to access the router if need be. Normally, that is
the one I use anyway. I use this one for security since it is the only one
with my re-mailer PGP secret keyring on it. So I can't sign anything from
another PC.
I am wide open to suggestions. Maybe later I'll pose the question in alt.
computer.security. I think I have this locked down enough that I can devote
some time to fixing things up in the re-mailer.
But if you have a thought or a suggestion, please post it or E-mail me.
Between us all, remops and users, we have a duty to protect each other from
security compromises of any kinds.
So any volunteers that would wish to offer up suggestions are very welcome.
Regards to All,
Twisty Admin
One last note, I am signing this with one of the re-mailer keys. If you
verify the key, you will find it is signed by the re-mailer RSA key and
both Admin keys. The Admin keys are in turn signed by the re-mailer keys.
I'll try to remember to always sign my posts, but please forgive me if I
err or have to post from another PC like at my office.

What about the bug that allows attackers to add any mail2news
gateway's address to any mismaster3 remailer's block list? Yeah, the
fuck has steadfastly refused to fix it. He only wants to work on Tor

give a shit about the network. Don't look for anything of quality
from Palfrader. It's just not in him.
Technically that is not a bug (the m2n ending up in dest-block). It is a
design error. As Peter is not the main designer you are targetting the
wrong person here.
Let me explain what I have learned in two years of computer science:
1. Design
2. Specification
3. Implementation
Peter does 3. IMO. You are looking for the 1. guy I think,
