I know the people that run the remailers do not believe in blocking messages,
and that is fine as I believe that Freedom of Speech is like a day at the beach,
but you see the problem is that this newsgroup which is _the_ place for people to
learn about remailers is being flooded with these inane markov chain messages and
when somebody comes here s/he sees a lot of foolishness coming out of the
remaielrs and wonders about the judgment of the people that run the remailers.
It is no use. Floods can always adapt to new filters. And it has a
shitload of legal consequences (something even someone reasonably
intelligent like Frog-Admin didn't comprehend)
If somebody is wondering about that the battle for privacy is half lost already
and the remailers may as well turn their keys over to J Edgar Hoover.
It is better to not filter and lose all remailers than it is to have all
remailers filter (and be flooded if they don't)
It is bad enough that we have Eelbash and had Frog do this, we don't
need any other water fauna poluting our network
So please make an exception for floods in this newsgroup and block them. I do
not care about other newsgroups because Freedom of Speech is needed but in this
newsgroup it reflects very very badly on remailers so please block the floods.
Which is just foolish and _extremely_ hypocritical
Please block the floods.
Please block your keyboard and get a life

Would that be safe? I only want to let people surf through Tor. Guess the
question is for anybody familiar with Tor.
Why not
I think Eelbask and Frog-Admin got something in return for the flooding.
http://xenu.net/archive/ot/ can save you a lot of problems in other ways because
noone takes him seriously). And then the minor floods come. I think Scientology is
twisted, secretive and hateful toward
remailers enough to experiment with disrupting the network.

It is simple anyone who has been on Usenet for more than a month KNOWS that

It will be paradise for me! Eelbash must stay.
? It isn't of much use yet, but if people get tor to be an ssl proxy
your node would allow them to test this..
And I see

reject 169.254.0.0/16
Volunteers run servers (called "mixes") that receive messages, and decrypt them,
re-order them, and re-transmit them toward their eventual destination. Every
message passes through several mixes so that each mix in the sequence can unwrap a
single f'n one of the posts.
reject 127.0.0.0/8
reject 192.168.0.0/16
reject 10.0.0.0/8
reject 172.16.0.0/12
in the docs. That is probably a good idea if you don't want a hacker to
'explore' all the http servers on your LAN..

Yes. PGP version 6.5.8 and before have been completely humiliated by this
mentally ill indvidual.
Are you Bluejay? Yeah let the remops look at the same path Frog-Admin and Eelbash
did?

Ok, so I got into trouble with my ISP for operating a re-mailer. They consider
it a server which is outside of the TOS of the agreement.
They were polite, but asked I shut it down as soon a convenient. I have to

Darn it, just when it seemed to be operating OK.
Sorry all. I'll try to figure something else out. I know a lot more now than
when I started.

Sorry all. I think I had been processing nearly 10,000 messages a day or more
if you include stats pings. Not bad for a beginning re-mailer. Hope all is
well with all. May everyone be happy and healthy and my best wishes.
Sorry, I just have to go before I wind up in a deep pile of doo doo.

You could always:
1) Go middleman. Your ISP would never know (i.e. never be able
to trace any messages back to you).
2) Send all your outgoing mail via another annoymizing service
(eg COTSE). Remailers have been run like this in the past.
