J'ai un problème de compréhension avec une tournure syntaxique.

Les deux extraits se trouvent dans : "The turn of the screw" de H.
James.
Le récit débute par une veillée au cours de laquelle un personnage
vient de raconter une histoire dans laquelle un fantôme est apparu à
un enfant.
Je lis ensuite :

" I quite agree [...] that ist appearing first to the little boy, at
so tender at an age, adds a particular touch. "

Puis, plus loin :

" But it's not the first occurence of its charming kind that I know
to have been concerned with a child. "

Je ne comprends pas la tournure : "its appearing" et "ist charming
kind".
